AFTER SCHOOL CINEMA CLASS
SBIFF’s After-School Cinema Class teaches students about the art of filmmaking as well as how to make their own short film. Guest speakers from various areas of the film industry teach and work with students twice a week after school throughout the process of making a film. We begin with an overview of the film production process and then work with the students from the early stages of pitching their story ideas all the way to producing, directing, shooting, acting in and editing their own short films!
SBIFF’s goal is to expose students to the world of filmmaking and show them that they can be filmmakers! This class not only showcases how films are made but gives students a confidence in their voice, skills, and creativity while introducing them to various career opportunities in the film industry.
Students gain experience in every part of film production from pitching to post-production
