SBIFF’s Drive-in Theatres are located at the Santa Barbara City College lower parking lots at 140 Loma Alta Road, Santa Barbara CA 93101

• Reservations for each film will begin at 8:00 AM the day before showtime at
• Only one reservation per vehicle is needed.
• A confirmation of your reservation will be emailed to you and must be shown for admission.
• Admission for those with reservations begins 45 minutes prior to each film’s start time.
• Reservations become void 20 minutes prior to each film’s start time. Admission will then be on a first-come, first-served basis.
• If you arrive without a reservation prior to 20 minutes before showtime, there is no staging area. You will be required to drive around the block and get in the back of the line.
• Both drive-in theatres are located at Santa Barbara City College, 140 Loma Alta Road. Please arrive by turning onto Loma Alta Road from Shoreline Drive.
• There is no assigned parking, except for select SBIFF Patrons and Sponsors. You will be guided into a space by parking attendants on a first-come, first-served basis.
• There will NOT be a concession stand. Guests are advised to bring their own food and drinks.
• A limited number of portable restrooms are available onsite.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
• The use of cameras and other recording equipment is strictly prohibited during all screenings and programs.
• Drive-in speed limit is 10 MPH at all times.
• You may access the sound through your vehicle’s FM radio. You can also access the sound on a portable FM radio. Phones/Tablets will not connect to FM transmission.
• Closed Captioning devices are not available for the drive-ins.
• Headlights and interior lights must be turned off once your vehicle is parked.
• All vehicle engines must be turned off for the duration of the program.
• No campers, RVs, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, extended truck beds, or lifted vehicle are permitted.
• We reserve the right to park larger vehicles (trucks, vans, SUVs) at the back of the drive-in.
• We reserve the right to tow any vehicles left unattended.
• Traffic laws must be followed at all times.
• At the end of each film, wait until you are instructed to leave.
• Every car must exit the drive-in after each film ends. No one may stay for the next showing.
• Subtitles vary in size from film to film and may be difficult to read in some parking spots.
• Although we are using high resolution bright LED screens, depending on the direction of the sun, visibility may be slightly affected at times.
• Drive-in screenings have the potential to be cancelled due to weather and other environmental issues.
• If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home.
• A COVID compliance officer will be onsite at all times.
• Masks must be worn by staff, volunteers and attendees outside of their personal vehicle. Masks must cover both the nose and mouth.
• Social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained at all times when outside of a vehicle.
• Attendees must stay in their vehicles at all times except to use the restrooms.
• Restrooms will be profestionally sanitized daily.
• Multiple hand sanitizing stations will be available.
• Contactless ticket scanning is available upon entry.
• Please take your trash with you and dispose of it at home.
