The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is hosting an online student film festival to showcase the end of year film works of Santa Barbara County high school and college students as the school year was cut short. The high school and college submissions will be grouped separately, and each group will have a Jury Prize and Audience Winner. The student films will be available to view on SBIFF’s website (sbiff.org) beginning on June 8, 2020, and the Santa Barbara community and beyond will have the opportunity to vote for the Audience Winner for each division. SBIFF will put together a panel of industry professionals who will vote on the Jury Winner for the two sections. Winners will be announced on June 23, 2020.
In order to submit your end of year film, you must be a high school or college student currently enrolled in a Santa Barbara County high school or college.
Film submissions must be an end of year school project for this school year.
(*You will be required to list the name of the class your project was for, along with the professor’s name and their email address.)
Film submissions must be uploaded to Vimeo and you will be required to provide the link in our application.
